Update on Ronald McDonald House Charities
January 07, 2010
In September, the HISD senior class asked the students and faculty to collect pull tabs from soda cans to be donated to the Ronald McDonald House charities. By December, approximately 12,000 tabs had been collected. These tabs were taken to the Ronald McDonald House in Ft Worth; they will be recycled to help defray housing costs for families with seriously ill children being treated at Cooks Children’s Hospital.
THANK YOU to everyone who sent tabs last semester. Please continue to collect the tabs and send them to school with your students. The senior class has set a goal of collecting 20,000 tabs by the end of May 2010. Help us reach our goal and in turn help a wonderful cause.
